Anna: So are we best friends forever and ever and ever and ever until we die?
Rachel: Sure
Anna: Deal?
Rachel: Deal.
Anna: Shake on it?
Rachel: OK
Until they die? Two minutes later, Anna left her new best friend to ask me an important question, "What is her name again?" Best friends that don't know each other's names? It got me thinking, though, about how I long for the days when making friends was that easy.
Another suprise occurred when I was awakened at 3:00 AM a few weeks ago by Anna standing at my bedside. She was complaining of a nightmare. I felt sorry for her, remembering my fear as a child of nightmares. About to invite her into our bed, I asked her what her dream was about. She replied, "Well, I dreamed that I was about to eat some really big, good cotton candy, and then right before I actually ate it, I woke up." Needless to say, I sent her back to bed. Ahhh, that's my girl and my kind of nightmare...like daughter like mother...

She's just brilliant! Love those kinds of nightmares!
Man, I would be mad too... after all that and she didn't even get to eat it! How cute!!
Do you still have the same email address? We sent you an invitation to your yahoo address if you still use that one. We need to get together some time! I'm sad I missed out when Chanda was in town :(
What a GREAT dream. My kind of girl, too.
We get in town October 29-- Kate Wilcox will be in town too so I am counting on some serious good times with you guys. And none of this, let's get together once, bit. I'm going to be there 2 weeks and expect to see you AT LEAST 4 times. Let's get Ben and Dave and the kids together too. Can't wait to see you!
hilarious! I love hearing stories about that little girl! She is adorable. Man, I wish we made it to Utah once in a while. I haven't been back there in 4 years or so. We are trying to find a way to go see Steve's family in Romania while Natalia can still fly for free, so I don't think we'll be making very many other trips anytime soon! I long for the day when Stefan is no longer a student!:)
She's a cutie! I love to listen in on 5 year old conversations. Aren't they the best!
I dream about cake so can totally relate. Anna looks just like you.
Jamie,
I got your blog address from Heidi. Love it! Anna looks so much like you. To answer your questions, three kids hasn't been that much of an adjustment from 2 kids. . . yet. I pretty much do the same things and it really hasn't been a big deal. It's mostly hard when they all act up at the same time, but my baby is really good, so that doesn't happen to much. Not nearly as bad as I thought it would be or was prepared for! To answer your other question, I would love to get together some time!
Becky
